Brand development and graphic assets for London photographer

Yeshen Venema is one of the leading product photographers in the UK. Specialising in the design and craft sector, he works on location and from his home studio in Islington, London.

I have worked with Yeshen for many years - he took all of the beautiful product photographs for my Lollipop products and the products of many of my clients. More recently we have collaborated on several projects (some still to be added to this site) with Yeshen’s ‘One Day Web’ service - where in a day he sets a client up with a website - I step in and help with the branding and design - a great combo of skills!

I was honoured when he asked me to refresh his branding and create some assets he can use across his website and presentations.

I kept the exact shape of his original logo but flattened to solid colour blocks and made it a multi-coloured, ever changing logo - to match the variety of his clients. The colour palette was taken using the ink dropper tool from some of his photographs.

Yeshen is not only a photographer, he is also an educator running workshops and speaking at events, and a Squarespace specialist. With 3 points to his service (shoot - learn - build) the triangle is an integral part of his branding. I created two sub-logos - making a trio of logos all with the blue triangle at their heart.
